cause of death for teens ages 16-19¹
Well, here is your chance to do something about it. The SELF Movement is partnering with Hillsborough County Public Schools, the City of Tampa Police Department, The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and The Allstate Foundation to bring awareness to this deadly statistic by hosting a Teen Safe Driving Design Contest.
So get creative and design a logo, graphic, and/or slogan that promotes safe driving habits and could appear on public display! Compete against other students and high schools in Hillsborough County for bragging rights, have your work displayed in public and win up to $4,000 in scholarships* for college! The winning artwork and school will be formally announced at a red carpet style event tentatively scheduled for May.
Get started by following these steps:
Step 1: Create a Design and Slogan
Create a design and slogan to inform and inspire your friends about the dangers of distracted or impaired driving. Creativity and educational value is more important than the quality of your drawing or graphic design. Just make sure you get the message across and follow the rules.
Step 2: Submit your design and sloganIf you hand draw a design and slogan, take a clear and legible picture following the guidelines, and upload it here to this site between February 16th and March 31st, 2015 at 11:59 PM. Computer graphic files will be uploaded and submitted using the same guidelines and upload process.
Step 3: View and voteThe public will be allowed to view, vote on, and select forty (40) finalists from the entries between April 13th and April 20th, and a panel of independent judges will select the top designs. See the registration page for more information.
