Florence Haridan

Florence is currently the Executive Director of Character Counts! in Jacksonville where she is building an Ethics Coalition, that brings together businesses, non-profits and those in need. The mission of CC! is to deliver character education and to foster greater understanding of the role of ethics in the community.

Florence has led and supported branding, design, advertising and e-commerce initiatives for some of the largest companies in the world, including Citibank, The Home Depot, Sears, American Express, Fidelity, J&J and AT&T. Her experience ranges from product development and launch, to realignment and revitalization.

Florence has also successfully run small and large teams for companies such as McCann Direct, Grey Advertising, AT&T and Citibank.

As founder of Gathering: A Coaching Consultancy, Florence worked with creative teams, business owners and individuals to align values to their day to day business and personal lives. She is sought by those who are ready to make transformation change that is lasting and meaningful.

Active as a philanthropist, she was a founding member of The Big Fun Foundation board and continues to support their mission. As past president of AIGA Jacksonville, Florence currently serves on their Advisory Board and is viewed as a Design Advocate in the business community.

While still at Citibank, Florence attended The Coaches Training Institute, a school accredited by the International Coaches Federation (ICF). She received her certification as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). Florence has served as President of the First Coast Coaches Association (FCCA), the local chapter of ICF.

Florence has designed and launched mentoring programs for AIGA, Citibank and the Jacksonville Woman’s Small Business Center. Florence speaks nationally on topics such as, Building the Character of a Brand, The ROI of Philanthropy, Building a Supportive Creative Culture, Why Character Matters? and Developing Your Personal Brand.

She has been a featured speaker at HOW, Fast Company, AIGA, and IDSA Design Conferences. Additionally she leads workshops and interactive experiences for groups around the country. Florence currently is focused on character based leadership to expand traditional business thinking and to evolve our economy.

Florence is a published writer and has been featured in HOW, Natural Awakenings and TravelHost magazines. She contributes to several blogs, including her own, which is focused on personal growth.

Her book, Who’s Helping Who?, is a workbook designed to help individuals receive and give the appropriate help. She believes the skill of asking for help is one that has not been developed by many and is truly one of the keys to success in all areas of life.

She finds her creative outlet these days by designing gallery installations that invite social interaction and personal reflection. Her work is featured in Butterfield Too Gallery in Saint Augustine, Florida.
